Topic: E-governance.

This is an initiative which enables the CM, ministers and Administrative secretaries to keep an eye on the progress of various government schemes.
It was launched to monitor 35 departmental schemes with 15 parameters a year ago.
This facility provides a regular update and 2 – way Communication for the district magistrate and other officials.
Now, 40 departments have been integrated to monitor schemes on 230 key parameters.
The – dashboard application is fully automated and integrated with departments.
It keeps a check on any corruption-related activity as well as discretion exercised by the concerned official.
The digital dashboard has a unique colour coding scheme. In this, various departments are shown in different colours such as green, blue, orange and red.
These colour schemes are based on the departments’ composite score.

Punjab has got only 43% of its target revenue receipts for 2019 – 2020.
The silver lining is that the Punjab state’ s income through GST has increased.
Though, the Union government has failed to release the state’ s share of GST compensation for October – November.- (₹ 2000 crore).
Punjab’ s tax revenue has shown a decline of almost ₹ 3000 crores.
Whereas the tax on non – tax revenue ( road tax and tax on services offered by the government) as shown a 50% decline over last year.
The state’ s share of central taxes is less as compared with last year.
On the other hand, the grants – in – aid received from the Centre is double than the last year.
