News:- Government does away with the need for No Registration Certificates ( NOC)s for property registration.
Background:-Due to the complicated issuance of NOCs, the state has been losing revenue from stamp duty.
- Also, the buyers of the property are also allegedly harassed by the revenue officials.
- But, this step can lead to the mushrooming of more illegal colonies in the state.
- Earlier, the state government had brought the Open-ended policy,2018 to deal with the issue of illegal colonies.

News:-3rd Military Literature Festival, Chandigarh takes off.
- The festival would be held at the UT Lake club, Chandigarh.
- It is a three-day festival where military experts, war veterans and other luminaries to hold discussions on various military issues which are confronting the country.
- Also, the tales of bravery and heroics of the historical personalities of the country would be read.
- The stories of gallantry award winners, battlefields, cybersecurity concerns etc will also be discussed.
- Audiovisual shows would also be organised.
The topics which are a part of the festival are:-

- “Understanding The Message of Balakot”.
