What is the news?

 

  • Punjab Silage Baler cum Wrapper Machines Subsidy Scheme 2022.
  • The state government of Punjab has launched a new subsidy scheme for Silage Baler cum Wrapper Machines.

 

Subsidization under this scheme:

 

  • The scheme would give farmers a 40% subsidy for the purchase of silage balers and automatic packing machines.

 

Who is going to implement it?

  • The scheme will be implemented by the Punjab Dairy Development Board.

 

Main Objective:

  • The main objective of the Silage Baler cum Wrapper Machines subsidy program is to promote milk production in the state and make it more advanced and profitable.
  • This project will modernize the production and maintenance of green fodder in the state.
  • According to the state government, the scheme will not only help increase the green fodder area, but also reduce the cultivation of crops like wheat and paddy which will further help in increasing the ground water level in the state.
  • Under this scheme, the farmer who buys Silage Baler cum Wrapper Machines will be able to get a subsidy of up to Rs. 5.60 Lakh by the government.

 

Following 3 companies have been chosen by the state government to procure machines which are in compliance with the set standards and can make bundles of 100 kg and 500 kg:

1) Masers Ujjawala Harvester Corporation.
2) Dynamic Machinery & Equipment.
3) Masers Bakhshish Industries.
