News:-Dr. Manmohan Singh releases the book of late poetess Baljit Kaur Tulsi
About Baljit Kaur Tulsi:-
- She was born in 1915.
- She had also played a role in the freedom struggle by associating with nationalist, including R N Tagore and Sarojini Naidu.
- She was a fine poetess and writer, whose poems have been compiled in a book.
Dr Manmohan Singh also praised the role of Sikh women in history, especially The Battle of Muktsar.
About Battle of Muktsar:-
- It was a battle between Guru Gobind Singh Ji and The Mughals.
- During their struggle, some Sikhs had deserted the Guru and went back to their places
- The wives of these Sikhs then taunted their husbands for deserting the Sikhs.
- Great woman soldier, Mai bhago played an important part in the battle.
- The Battle of Muktsar or Battle of Khidrāne Dee Dhāb took place on 29 December 1705, following the siege of Anandpur.
- The forty Sikhs associated with this battle became the famous martyrs or Chali Mukte
- Maaghi Mela is associated with the remembrance of this Battle.

News:-Fake “SC” certificates are being used for availing the government benefits.
Case study:-
- A village named Alampur of Patiala district has been involved in this government schemes related to corruption.
- An RTI application has revealed that around 200 people belonging to unreserved category were receiving the benefits of free electricity not meant for them
- The application also revealed that the population of Scheduled castes increased by 580 whereas that of the unreserved population decreased( from census 2001 to 2011 ).
- Whereas the change in the population has been meagre.
- The certificates have also been misused for contesting panchayat elections from an unreserved constituency.
- The NGOs such as Phule Ambedkar Gauravshali and Adarshwadi Muhim (PAIGAAM) have been involved in highlighting these issues.

- 550th anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
- The exhibition will be based on the book ” Tryst with trees – Punjab’s sacred heritage “
- It has been documented by retired civil servant DS Jaspal
- It has been started by The Evacuee Trust Property Board of Pakistan.
- It displays the beautiful relationship between Sikhism and the environment.
- It reveals the importance of species such as Van, jand , phalahi , Pilu in association with the meditation and greatness of the saints.

ਬਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਤੁਲਸੀ ਬਾਰੇ: –
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 1915 ਵਿਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ. ਉਸਨੇ ਆਰ ਐਨ ਟੈਗੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੋਜਨੀ ਨਾਇਡੂ ਸਮੇਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਵਾਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਸੰਗਰਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਸੀ।
ਉਹ ਇਕ ਵਧੀਆ ਕਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਖਕ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਵਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਇਕ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ. ਡਾ: ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੱਖ womenਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਬਾਰੇ: ਇਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਗਲਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਲੜਾਈ ਸੀ.ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੁਝ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਸਨਫਿਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿਚ ਛੱਡਣ ਲਈ ਤਾਅਨੇ ਮਾਰੇ।ਮਹਾਨ soldierਰਤ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ, ਮਾਈ ਭਾਗੋ ਨੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ.ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਜਾਂ ਖਿਦ੍ਰਨੀ ਦੀ āਾਬ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ, 29 ਦਸੰਬਰ, 1705 ਨੂੰ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਘੇਰਾਓ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।ਇਸ ਲੜਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਚਾਲੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਜਾਂ ਚਾਲੀ ਮੁਕਤੇ ਬਣੇ ਮਾਘੀ ਮੇਲਾ ਇਸ ਲੜਾਈ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ.

ਖ਼ਬਰਾਂ: -ਫੈਕ “ਐਸ ਸੀ” ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਲਾਭ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਵਰਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ. ਮਾਮਲੇ ‘ਦਾ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦਾ ਆਲਮਪੁਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪਿੰਡ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਇਸ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਆਰਟੀਆਈ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਖੁਲਾਸਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੈਰ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵਡ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ 200 ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਫਤ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਮਿਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਖੁਲਾਸਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਅਨੁਸੂਚਿਤ ਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ 580 ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਅਣ-ਰਾਖਵੀਂ ਜਨਸੰਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ (ਜਨਗਣਨਾ 2001 ਤੋਂ 2011 ਤੱਕ) ਘਟੀ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ. ਕਿਸੇ ਅਣਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਹਲਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਪੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਫੂਲੇ ਅੰਬੇਦਕਰ ਗੌਰਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਰਸ਼ਵਾੜੀ ਮੁਹਿਮ (ਪੈਗਾਮ) ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਐਨ.ਜੀ.ਓਜ਼ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
