Important about Coronavirus:-
- Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV).
- A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.
- Coronaviruses are zoonotic, meaning they are transmitted between animals and people.
- Detailed investigations found that SARS-CoV was transmitted from civet cats to humans and MERS-CoV from dromedary camels to humans. Several known coronaviruses are circulating in animals that have not yet infected humans.
Symptoms:-
- Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, the infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.
Prevention:-
- Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, thoroughly cooking meat and eggs. Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.

What is the name of the Scheme?

“Unnati” scheme.
Purpose:-
- To be launched for skill development.
- Chief Minister Shri Jairam Thakur Ji said that under MNREGA all such workers who have got 100 days of employment, at least one adult member of their family will be given necessary training for skill development. For this, the Chief Minister has announced to launch a new scheme “Unnati” in 2020-21.

What is the name of the Scheme?
- “Panchvati” scheme
Purpose:-
- It will create parks and gardens in villages
- Chief Minister Shri Jairam Thakur Ji said that in view of the increasing life expectancy in the state, construction of parks and gardens in rural areas will be started under the “Panchvati” scheme for the health needs of senior citizens in 2020-21.
Reward:-
- With a view to encouraging the Panchayats for the prevention of tobacco use and smoking habits and fatal diseases due to tobacco use, the Chief Minister has announced that a grant of Rs 5 lakh will be provided to each such panchayat which will become tobacco-free.

What is the Scheme?
- Saras Mela will be organized in districts, the products of villagers will be sold.
- Chief Minister Shri Jairam Thakur Ji said that under the National Village Swaraj Abhiyan, approval for 2,000 Lokmitra Centers has been granted all over the state. 100 crore rupees will be received from the central government for these Lokmitra centres.
- A local “Saras” fair will be organized in each district in 2020-21 for the sale of products of self-help groups in the state.
