News:-Kullu gets intelligent traffic system.
- Police to challan vehicles through automatic number plate recognition from CCTV cameras.
Under part of which mission this system launched?
- The police launched the intelligent traffic management system (ITMS) today in Kullu town as part of mission zero to implement traffic rules.
How the ITM system will work?
- Under the ITMS, the police will challan any vehicle through the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) CCTV camera if the driver of a vehicle violates traffic rules in the town. The police have installed these CCTV cameras at key locations.
- Overspeeding, not wearing a helmet, wrong side parking and bike stunt are the common violations committed by negligent drivers, who will now be under surveillance round the clock.
How this will help?
- Rash driving, riding without helmet and seat belt, wrong parking of vehicles and chain snatching are common offences which will be monitored with the help of the camera.

Let’s learn about Jawalamukhi:-
- Jwalamukhi Temple in Himachal Pradesh is one amongst the 51 Shaktipeetha of the country which is considered extremely sacred for the Hindus.
- It is located around 30 km to the south of the Kangra valley in the lap of Shivalik range and is dedicated to Goddess Jwalamukhi, the deity of Flaming Mouth.
Temple architecture:-
- Positioned beside a cliff, Jwalamukhi Mandir is built on a wooden platform in the Indo-Sikh style of architecture.
- The structural design of the temple is simple, but the religious aura makes it undoubtedly divine.
- The dome and spire of this temple are covered with Gold.
Jwalamukhi- The Temple Where Akbar Felt Defeated:-
- Jwalamukhi temple, which is situated in Himachal Pradesh, is the place which destroyed Mughal emperor Akbar’s pride. Jwalamukhi temple is also known as ‘Nagarkot’. It is one of the most renowned temples of Goddess Durga and this shrine is regarded as a Maha Shakti Peetham.
- According to a legend, Sati Devi’s tongue fell here. There is no idol in this temple, instead, flames from the crevices of rock are worshipped.
- The nine flames are named after Goddesses-Mahakali, Chandi, Hinglaj, Annapurna, Vindhyavasini, Ambika, Saraswati, Vindhya Vasni and Anji Devi. Raja Bhumi Chand Katoch of Kangra was a great devotee of Goddess Durga who built this temple. Maharaja Ranjit Singh visited this shrine in 1851 and the temple’s dome is gold-plated by him.
