News:- Trust to look after Una’s Shiv Bari temple.

Context:-After the Supreme Court order to constitute a temple trust for the management of the Shiv Bari temple near Gagret, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar here presided over the first meeting of the trustees on the temple premises.

Composition of trust:-

• The Gagret SDM would be the chairman of the temple trust, while the Ghanari tehsildar would be the secretary. The trust panel would comprise 10 more government officers from various departments along with five non-official members.

About Shiv Bari Temple:-

• According to a belief, Shiv Bari is the place where Dronacharya used to teach Pandavas and Kauravas war tactics and the use of weapons.
• He is believed to have got the Shiv temple constructed here so that his daughter Jayati could worship the deity.
