• Prime Minister Modi presided over the first chief secretaries meeting.

 

Why important?

• PM Narendra Modi chaired the first National Conference of Chief Secretaries in Dharamshala on Thursday and Friday.

 

Aim:

• Prepare a common development agenda for stronger economic growth ahead of Niti Aayog’s Board of Governors meeting later this year.
• Working as Team India, the conference will lay the foundation for collaborative action for higher growth with sustainability, job creation, education, ease of living and aatmanirbharta in agriculture.
• It will emphasize the evolution and implementation of a common development agenda and a coherent plan of action to achieve the aspirations of the people.

 

Three themes have been identified as follows:

Three themes were identified for the detailed proceedings of the conference:

• Implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), urban governance, crop diversification and self-sufficiency in oilseeds, legumes and other agri-food products.
• Under the NEP, school and higher education would be subject to deliberation. Best practices from States/UTs under each of the themes will be presented at the Conference for Mutual Learning.
• A session on the aspirational district program will discuss the accomplishments achieved so far, with successful case studies, including on data-based governance, presented by young collectors in specific districts.

• Online monitoring for fisheries, NIT Hamirpur has invented the technology for fish farmers.

 

What sort of technique is that?

• Experts at the Hamirpur National Institute of Technology (NIT) have invented a new technology for fish farmers who are embracing fishing as self-employment.
• Under this, people associated with fisheries and fish farmers will be able to monitor their pond or lake online in the coming time.
• This discovery is expected to be a new revolution for fishermen across the country.

 

Main Component:

• As a matter of fact, the main component of fisheries is water. If any kind of chemical is found in the water knowingly or unknowingly, it destroys all the hard work in an instant.
• Invented by the experts of NIT, with this technology, fishermen will be able to monitor online from the oxygen level in the pond or lake water to its purity and temperature through mobile.

 

What technology was utilized?

• This design, using Internet of Things (IoT) technology by experts from NIT Hamirpur, has been approved by the Patent Office of the Indian government.

 

How is IoT technology used?

• In fact, the technology that runs on the Internet server has been named the Internet of Things in scientific language. Sensor nodes composed of multiple sensors were used to measure hydrologic parameters in pond or lake equipment.
• These nodes will inform the base station application of changes in water via sensors. Change information will reach the app via internet.

What is the news?

• The Himachal Pradesh Industries Department organized a meeting in Dharamshala. 17 selected startups from Himachal including Secretary Industries House and Secretary, Department of Internal Trade, Government of India Anurag Jain, Director Rakesh Prajapati, Joint Director Industries Department Himachal Pradesh Deepika Rana participated in the event.

 

Hatti Idea was appreciated:

• Hatti’s idea and promised to give it all possible help in the future. Apni Hatti was launched on January 31, 2022 through an online event by District Collector Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal.

 

What is Hatti idea and who made this?

• This startup is accredited by Himachal Pradesh, it is an online market place, in which only the products made by the himachal pradesh programme are made available all over India.
• Chamba Thal, Chamba Chukh, Medicines, Shawl and Himachali clothes and other products are provided. More than 300 Himachali items are available in this platform.
• The main objective of his hatti is to provide employment to the people of Himachal, impart skills and make the products available to the local artisans all over India. The operators of their hatti are Anubhav Sharma and Sharv Sharma, both of whom are engineers by profession and had built this startup in the Corona period.

The incubation of his hatti has been done from IIT Mandi.
