Baljeet Kaur, a resident of Solan, made it to Mount Everest (8,848.46m) with her guide Mingma Sherpa this morning.
This is Baljeet’s third feat in this spring season. The duo surmounted Mount Annapurna (8,091 m) on April 28 and Mount Kanchenjunga (8,586 m) on May 12. She posted her photograph to her social media account with the Indian flag. She said it was accomplished at 4:30 a.m.
Baljeet was also the first Indian woman to reach the summit of Pumori (7,161 meters) in Nepal in 2021.
She fought a serious money crisis while preparing for her dream to conquer the highest summit in the world. Her expedition was marred by uncertainty until mid-March. She is a resident of non-descript Panjrol village in Solan district and belongs to a poor family. She could barely raise enough money from donors to join the March 25 expedition.

Mount Everest is the highest peak in the world, situated at 8848 m altitude from sea level. Mount Everest named by name of Sir George Everest in 1865 AD. It lies in the Solukhumbu district of Nepal. Mount Everest, known in Nepalese as Sagarmatha and in the Tibetan language they are called as Chomolungma (Zhumulangma). There are other local names also provided for Mount Everest like Third pole, Peak xv, and local sherpa’s they called Deudhunga.
Everest is believed to be 60 million years old. Everest was formed by the movement of earth’s tectonic plates, as the Indian subcontinental plate collides with the Eurasian continental plate. No one knew that Mt Everest was the top of the world until the 19th century.
Mount Everest was first conquered by Sir Edmund Percival Hillary KG and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa on 29 May 1953 AD. Out of the 10 highest mountains, 8 of them are in Nepal. Among them, the most popular one is Mount Everest. People attempt to climb Mount Everest in 1920 AD.

Now the forest department will give a chance for startup, preparing to control the pine in the state.

To save forests from fire, the department is now preparing to promote startups. The department will promote industries to remove the plants which damage the forests.
A provision of up to 50 percent subsidy has been made for this. This industry will encourage the unemployed. The department will encourage people to use pine leaves.
All these industries will be established as small scale industries.
Apart from this, export of pine leaves to cement industries is also being considered.
The department can take the help of people living near the forests for this work. This will provide employment opportunities to the people at the local level. It is worth noting that this time more than 1300 fire incidents has taken place in the entire state. Pine forests have been responsible for most of these incidents.
Now the Forest Department has intensified the preparations to get control of the uncontrollable fire in the pine forests after continuous meetings.
The biggest decision in this episode has been taken not to depend on rain. In this, the Forest Department will take steps to remove the pine leaves, so that incidents of fire in the forests can be prevented in future.

The cases of forest fires have increased in the last few days. Less rain and frequent fires in pine forests are the main reasons for this. The Forest Department has now decided to run a campaign on the pine forests which are causing forest fires.
In this, 50 percent subsidy will be provided for employment, while pine leaves will be transported to the cement industry, the help of local people will be taken to collect it.
