What is the news?

  • A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed today between AYUSH Department and Shoolini University to establish “Shoolini Yogananda AYUSH Medicity”.

 

Where will it be situated?

Solan.

Aim:

  • It is aimed at reviving the principles and practices of ancient knowledge, science, and practice with students and scholars from diverse areas in a Gurukul culture equipped with modern technology.
  • The project would encompass traditional rituals and folk practices of Ayurveda, yoga, naturopathy, meditation, health and well-being. The potential of medicinal and aromatic plants, languages, music, dance and literature will also be taken up to impart education and skills.

What is the news?

  • The district administration of Chamba has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bilaspur for collaboration in the areas of telemedicine, diagnostics and patient care services.

 

How will this help?

  • A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with AIIMS Bilaspur to further enhance telemedicine, diagnostic and patient care services in the remote tribal and rural areas of the Chamba District.
  • AIIMS would also provide technical expertise, telemedicine equipment, peripherals and manpower training in telehealth services through its faculty members to improve telemedicine services in tribal and rural areas.

 

How District Administration Will Help?

  • The district administration would provide consumables, medicines, boarding, accommodation and travel arrangements.
