  • Repair Udaipur temple: ASI told
  • The High Court has directed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to constitute a team of experts and other representatives from its branches within a week to inspect the site of the Mrikula Devi Temple in Udaipur and submit the estimate for the temple repair.

 

It is located in which district of Himachal Pradesh?

  • It is in Lahaul and Spiti district.

 

Why this order passed?

  • A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Mohammad Rafiq and Justice Sandeep Sharma passed the orders on a PIL based on a report submitted by the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kullu, regarding the dilapidated condition of the temple.

What is the news?

  • The Cabinet at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur approved the Himachal Pradesh Integrated Drug Prevention Policy to curb the drug menace.

 

Aim:

  • The policy aims at curbing drug trafficking, substance abuse, cultivation, production and consumption of drugs in the state.
  • It also aims at strengthening inter-governmental and inter-agency coordination under multi-literal cooperation mechanism by sharing seizure statistics/data, joint drug law enforcement operations and establishment of a joint interrogation center.
