What is the news?

 

  • Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj today launched the website of HP Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).
  • Suresh Bhardwaj congratulated the officers and officials of RERA and said that RERA has put the pace to their work in a very short time.
  • He said that the Website and Web Portal would facilitate all stakeholders and promoters through digital medium.

 

Purpose:

  • The primary objective of RERA, is to bring transparency, timely delivery of real estate projects and generate confidence in real estate buyers.
  • Digitization is the necessity of time and to benefit from an intelligent solution, it is important to make good use of the technology. Stakeholders and promoters can avail information at a click and would not have to visit the office.
  • Chairman RERA Srikant Baldi while detailing about the Web site www.hprera.nic.in said that RERA was able to launch a Citizen Centric and Friendly Web Portal designed and developed by National Informatics Center (NIC) HP with the active guidance and support of Omidyar Network and Praxil Global Alliance.

 

Benefits and Features of Portal:

  • General public can access the real time information about the REAL Estate Projects which include location of projects and the status of its construction, availability of plots, apartments and commercial units through the Website.
  • The Website provides total inventory of any Real Estate Project, which is project type, carpet area wise, plot area wise etc. Each project can easily locate on the Google map by adding coordinates by any person.
  • The contact details of Authority/officials are given on the website for the convenience of the general public.
  • This web portal provides main facility for registration of Real Estate Project’s online without visiting the office of the Authority. The fees for the registration of the project are to be paid online through E-payment gateway.
  • The website provides the facility to the promoter to track his application for registration and gets the status of the same.
  • All the promoters are on bulk e-mailing/SS system and are duly informed about important directions of the Authority for registration projects and filing of quarterly progress reports/annual progress reports.
  • Before pre or post registration process of the project, if promoters face any inconvenience or delay in the concerned departments or boards for getting timely approvals to launch the project, can file online grievances with RERA.
  • This web portal provides the facility for the filing of the complaint online by any aggrieved persons or home buyers in form M as per section 31 of the Act with RERA HP. An appeal against the order of the Authority or Adjudication officer can be filed online.

What is the news?

  • The state government has made a commitment to protect the interests of silkworm farmers: Minister of Industry.
  •  Industries Minister Bikram Singh while presiding over the review meeting of the sericulture wing of Industries Department here today said that the State Government has taken several important steps for the welfare of the farmers associated with the sericulture.
  • He said that silkworm exhibition and training center, silkworm community center, cocoon marketing center and silk worm seed production center etc are being set up under various divisions of the state to benefit the sikworm weavers.

 

Initiatives:

  • Seri Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Center (SEDIC) building is being constructed at Balichaki in Mandi district at a cost of Rs.494 lakh. With the construction of this building, more silk weavers of the state would be provided training and products related to silk would be manufactured.
  • The building of a silkworm seed production center is being constructed at Thunag in Mandi district at a cost of Rs. 318 lakh. He said that more than 12 thousand farmers have been benefitted with an expenditure of Rs. 271 lakh in the year 2020-21 under the State Catalytic Development Program of the State Government.
  • He said that there are 79 silkworm rearing centers in the state.
  • Mulberry is cultivated in 1287.51 bighas of the state. About 2 lakh 23 thousand mulberry saplings have been distributed and 238 metric tonnes of cocoons have been produced in the state during the year 2021-22.
  • Bikram Singh said that workshops would be organized to make people aware about silkworm rearing in the state, so that sericulture farmers get information about various schemes launched by the Central and State Governments for the development of silk industry. Director Industries Rakesh Prajapati, Deputy Director Sericulture Wing Baldev Chauhan and other senior officers were present in the meeting.

 

Important:

  • Sericulture is related to the rearing of silkworms.
  • Sericulture is an agro-based industry. It involves the rearing of silkworms for the production of raw silk.
  • India is the second-largest producer of silk within the globe.

  • The team of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla, won the North Zone Inter University Women Kabaddi Championship at Government Vallabh College here today by defeating the Kurukshetra University team by three points in a thrilling final match.

 

Important:

  • The HPU team won the Kabbadi Trophy while the Kurukshetra University team was runner-up.
  • The team of the MDU, Rohtak, was the first runner-up while the team of GNDU, Amritsar, was the second runner-up”. Approximately 20 international players also took part in the event.
  • “The winning team will get the opportunity to play in the Khelo India.

  • To strengthen the agricultural sector in Lahaul-Spiti, DC Neeraj Kumar today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CSIR-IHBT Director Palampur, Dr Sanjay Kumar.

 

Purpose:

  • The MOU will increase output to improve the economy of farmers in the district.
