Ujjwala, Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojanas boon to women.
The Ujjwala Yojana Plan and the Himachal Grihini Suvidha Plan of the Central and State governments, respectively, have been a blessing for the people of the state.
Himachal has become the first in the country to become a smoke-free state.

Ujjwalla Yojana was established by the Union Government to free women from domestic pollution. In addition, the HP government has also launched Grihini Suvidha Yojana to benefit as many women as possible under the project.
Under the Ujjwala Yojana, 1.36 lakh free domestic connections were given in the state at a cost of Rs 21.81 crore, while under the Grihini Suvidha Yojana, 3.23 lakh housewives were provided free gas cylinders at a cost of Rs 120 crore.

Mukhya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojana’s launch took place on 26 May 2018.
Through the concerted efforts of central and state governments, state women had become free of domestic pollution.
In addition, to preserve the environment, a free LPG connection was provided to families without gas connection.

Shoolini University in top band of Atal rankings.
The Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences, Solan, has been placed in the highest category of excellence in the Atal ranking of establishments on innovations and achievements.

The rankings were announced recently by the Union Education Ministry. It annually evaluates higher education institutions for their performance on innovations and achievements.

As many as 36 of 1,200 universities in the country have found a place in this band.
The University of Shoolini is one of the five best in the northern region and the only one in the Himachal.

Omicron: Himachal Governmental mulls own genome sequencing laboratories.
State health officials are concerned about the delay in receiving reports from the genome sequencing center in Delhi. ‘We get late reports, it takes between 15 and 20 days,’ said NHM Director Hemraj Bairwa.

The genome, or genetic material, of an organism (bacterial, virus, potato, human) is composed of DNA.
Each organism has a unique DNA sequence consisting of databases (A, T, C and G).
If you know the sequence of bases in an organism, you have identified its unique genetic footprint, or model.
Determining the order of the bases is known as sequencing. Whole genome sequencing is a laboratory process that determines the order of bases within an organism’s genome in a single process.
