What is the news?

• The highest village in Asia Komic, completely vaccinated.

Why in news?

• The village of Komic in Lahaul Spiti district received 100% vaccination between the ages of 18 and 44.
• According to government records, a total of 44 persons were in that age group and all were vaccinated.

Important:

• The village of Komic is the highest village in Asia, located in the Spiti valley in the Lahaul Spiti district.

• The village is also famous for Lundup Tsemo Gompa Buddhist Monastery and it is said that the monastery has ‘Matrey Buddha’ or the future Buddha. This monastery is also famous for being the top motorized Buddhist monastery in the world.
