What is the news?
- Upper reaches of Dhauladhar hills and Chhota and Bara Bhangal areas of the Palampur region experienced heavy snowfall in the past 24 hours while lower areas were lashed by heavy rain.
- Chhota and Bara Bhangal were cut off from the rest of the state after heavy snowfall at Thamsar Pass, at a height of 19,000 feet.
Important Facts:
Thamsar Pass:
- Thamsar Pass is one of the highest passes of the Dhauladhar Mountain Range. It connects the Chhota Bhangal region with the Bara Bhangal region.
- Also known as Nohra Pass, Chota Bhangal is a green valley in the Himalayan Dhauladhar Range with the Uhl River. The pass is located at a height of 2700m/8990ft. in the Himachal Pradesh Kangra District.
- More Jot or Chota Bhangal is one of several passages in the Dhauladhar line.

- To establish Asia’s first mountainous institution in Six Sigma Health Care.
- Once the institution is in operation, 727 youth will have access to employment.

- Today Chief Minister Shri Jairam Thakur Ji inaugurated ′′ MLA E-Mitra Seva.
Purpose:
- ′′MLA E-Mitra Seva′′ mobile app will provide online services to MLAs on Himachal towards the summit.
How does this work?
- With the facility of this app, now the MLAs will not have to go around the offices to fulfil the works of their assembly constituency.
