Current Forensic Status in Himachal:

• A forensic laboratory is located in Junga in Shimla district and 2 regional forensic laboratories in Dharamshala and Mandi with fingerprint experts connected with the automated fingerprint identification system.

 

What is the need for forensic laboratories?

• Judicial infrastructure helps ensure scientific responses to criminal investigations. Forensic investigation is scientific and the results are reliable.

• She Haat opened in the Pachhad assembly of Sirmaur district.

• It is a wayside amenity which consists of a shop, guest room, restaurant and a Kaushal Vikas Kendra run by a women’s self-help group.

Other facilities:

• Solar-powered, Pahadi food, organic and traditional food, e vehicle for women’s facility, waste composting, rainwater harvesting, etc.
