IREDA signed MoU with SJVN

What is the news?

• Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) signed MoU with SJVN at Shimla in the renewable energy sector.

Purpose of MoU:

• IREDA will provide assistance to SJVN for green energy projects.
• It will also carry out the techno-financial analysis of renewable energy efficiency and conservation projects for SJVN.

800 MW PV project

• The Himachal government has given the task of development of PV solar park at Spiti to SJVN.

About IREDA:

• Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) is a Mini Ratna (Category – I) Government of India Enterprise under the administrative control of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). IREDA is a Public Limited Government Company established as a Non-Banking Financial Institution in 1987.
