• Climate change conference-2021 organized by the department of Environment, Science and Technology.

 

 

Aim of the Himachal Pradesh to tackle climate change:

• The Himachal Pradesh government focused on strengthening irrigation facilities, increasing agricultural production, improving social and economic conditions, economic security and rural infrastructure.

 

Steps taken by HP Government:

• To reduce the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the state government focused on the use of green fuels such as hydropower and solar power. He said that the state was very rich in hydropower resources and 10519 MW has been tapped so far.
• The State Clean Fuel Policy will be implemented in the near future to reduce air pollution.
