News:- Guru Nanak chair to be set up at Punjab University, Lahore (Pakistan).

• Dubai based hotelier and social activist, Dr SPS Oberoi has taken responsibility for this task.
• It would be set up to promote the research into the life and philosophy of Guru Nanak Ji.
• Dr Oberoi runs the Sarbat Da Bhala  Charitable trust.
• Other initiatives to promote Guruji’ s teachings have also been taken by him.

News:- Government releases the 9th edition of the great Sikh encyclopaedia Gurushabd Ratnakar Mahankosh.

• Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha had prepared this great Sikh encyclopaedia in the last century.

Other books were also released by the government along with Mahankosh. They are:-

•  Sultanpur Lodhi.
• Batala.
• Dera Baba Nanak.

They have been published by the Language department.
